Choline and its roles:
Choline and their main sources:
Choline is a relatively stable vitamin during production, but it can seriously affect the stability of the other vitamins. Its incorporation must be separated during production. Small amounts are synthesised in the caecum but the effect is probably negligible because there is very little absorption beyond the caecum.
The effect of choline is linked to fatty acid metabolism and it is also an essential material for building and maintaining cell structures.
The needs vary from 200 to 1000 mg of choline a day, depending on the physiological status of the horse.
