Glycyrrhizic acid

This saponin is extracted from the root of a plant, Glycyrrhiza glabra, also called liquorice or in Chinese Gan cao.

This adaptogenic molecule has always been widely used in Japan. An adaptogen "increases   the body resistance to a broad spectrum of harmful factors- stressors- of different physical, chemical or biological natures.
