BEFORE RELEASE? ALL TWYDIL® PRODUCTS MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS TWO
LEVELS OF QUALITY CONTROL FOR PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES:
|
 |
1°. SEARCH FOR CONTAMINANTS IN THE FINAL PRODUCT
In most cases, a feed product is contaminated through
traces of deleterious substances present in natural
ingredients.
To avoid any possibility of contamination, TWYDIL® has established stringent conditions on quality with its ingredient suppliers and arranges for the Official Laboratory of
LCH in France, directed by Dr Yves Bonnaire, to check that, even at the limits of detection, the final product is free from all the 7 natural contaminants (morphine, atropine, butofenine, cafeine, theophylline, theobromine, scopolamine) for which vigilance must be maximum because of their possible presence in feed ingredients.
2°. SEARCH FOR ANY PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES IN THE URINE
AND THE BLOOD OF A HORSE HAVING RECEIVED AN OVERAGE OF THE FINAL PRODUCT
The Laboratory of Hormonology in Marloie, Belgium, directed by Dr Philippe Delahaut, follows a strict and precise protocol quality control experiment (specific for each product).
Under this protocol, the Laboratory gives a horse between 2 and 5 times the normal dosage of the product for a minimum of 3 days.
Samples of urine
and the blood are taken and sent to the Laboratory of
LCH in France where they are submitted to a complete screening for all the prohibited substances - stimulants, analgesics, narcotics, anabolic steroids, beta-blockers, diuretics and not just the likely contaminants).
Sealed urine and blood samples are kept refrigerated by the Laboratory for one year beyond the expiry date of the product and TWYDIL® keeps a sealed sample of the final product for the same period
This procedure is followed for every product batch.
